This position is in Herndon, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Diplomatic Technology (DT).\nThis role requires excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a large, diverse program. As part of the Automation Testing Team, you will build and execute automated test scripts, contribute to Agile development efforts and help ensure high-quality software delivery.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nWork within an Agile Team to plan and develop automated test scripts to support the integration testing requirements of the teams you support.\nCreate, execute, and maintain automated tests using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.\nGenerate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools.\nMaintain a Kanban board with tasks and report out the status of your work during scheduled standup meetings.\nCollaborate with developers and testers to validate APIs, web services, and system integrations.\nWork Location: Herndon, VA\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience.\nGood knowledge of functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing.\nProblem-solving skills to isolate and document issues and defects.\nInterest and ability to program in text-based languages and object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).\nExposure to software engineering principles and basic test automation concepts.\nExperience in an agile testing environment including Test-Driven Development (TDD).\nBasic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nMust be able to obtain or have an Active Secret (or higher) clearance. Interim clearances acceptable\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with using AI-assisted development or testing tools.\nExperience developing automated test scripts using Java or other programming languages.\nExperience with Selenium WebDriver and Gauge a plus.\nExperience writing SQL scripts for Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.\nTarget Salary Range\n$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
