They will also collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver secure, scalable solutions.\nThis role requires strong AWS DevOps expertise, application support experience, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to optimizing our analytics infrastructure.\nWork Location: This is a remote position\nWhat You Will Do:\nDesign and build AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)\nGuide ADTs on cloud solution patterns, deployment strategies, and architecture decisions; able to influence design choices and align stakeholders\nOwn automation end-to-end; from IaC authorship to pipeline design to production operations\nParticipate in on-call rotation and contribute to observability/monitoring practices\nProvide technical support and guidance to AWS and managed service users\nDesign, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.\nMonitor AWS environments, identify performance or availability issues, and troubleshoot and resolve incidents.\nCollaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to implement cloud solutions, improve reliability, and follow AWS best practices.\nMaintain configuration documentation, diagrams and SOP's for all environments\nPerform backups, regularly scheduled upgrades and maintenance activities during the maintenance window\nMonitor for security vulnerabilities and perform ad-hoc upgrades and maintenance as required\nSupport audit activities by providing logs, reports, and system configurations\nManage and support AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), including roles, policies, permissions, and access controls, to maintain secure and compliant cloud environments.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nU.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance. \nMust be willing to undergo a pre-employment credit check as required by the Customer.\nBachelors Degree and 8 years of experience; a Masters Degree and 6 years of experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years of experience\nDeep, hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture, networking (e.g., VPCs, routing), security (e.g., IAM & Resource Policies, encryption ), serverless/microservice architectures, and containerization (e.g., ECS, Docker, Kubernetes)\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IAC), specifically utilizing advanced Terraform skills\nProven experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including reusable/shared components for enterprise-scale delivery\nHands-on experience monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SaaS application logs\nStrong scripting skills Python and Bash, Ansible experience is plus\nProficient in configuration management, observability (CloudWatch, Grafana), reliability, and disaster recovery practices. Proficient in the design, development, build, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance cloud engineering processes using automation tooling (e.g.,Terraform, Python, GitLab CI) for AWS workloads\nStrong Git proficiency, including common branching/release strategies (GitFlow, etc.)\nPreferred Qualifications\nRunners, as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation\nExperience with PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript/Node.js or other scripting languages to automate, troubleshoot and resolve issues\nExperience with incident management, root cause analysis, and resolving high-priority incidents in large, multi-tenant environments.\nExemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.\nExperience working in an Agile environment\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
