This position supports NASA programs which integrates with state-of-art ground station communications equipment. You’ll use your technical knowledge to assist the WSC in developing technical documentation to support multiple projects.\nPeraton is the prime contractor for NASA at the White Sands Complex (WSC) located near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Operating here are two functional identical satellite ground terminals: The White Sands Ground Terminal and the Second TDRSS Ground Terminal. These grounds terminals ensure uninterrupted communications between various ground terminals, NASA’s orbiting constellation of Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS), customer spacecraft (satellites) and the computer systems which support such spacecraft. WSC serves as an interface for distributing satellite data to control centers and scientist who then use the daily influx of data to expand our ever-growing knowledge of the earth and the universe.\nThis position will be responsible for:\nWork closely with design originators, preparing drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs which require a high degree of precision within the disciplines of Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, and Electro-Mechanical. \nPerforms unusually difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and drafting expertise.\nAssures that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, installation, and operation are resolved by the drawings produced. \nExercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on a knowledge of the design intent. Although working primarily as a drafter, may occasionally serve within project teams to provide advice and guidance required to completion. \nCoordinates work assignments with Document Technical Publisher personal.
