Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nProject Description:\nProvides the research, development, evaluation, and demonstration of concepts, technologies, and capabilities to satisfy specific customer research requirements in specific areas.\nJob Description:\nResponsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing highly available, cloud-native applications and infrastructure.\nLeverage Kubernetes and modern cloud service providers to orchestrate complex, containerized microservices at-scale.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCloud Architecture & Development:\nDesign and implement resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud-native architectures.\nDevelop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot) or Python.\nBuild, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker, emphasizing optimized image layering, security, and performance.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.\nCreate interactive, data-driven dashboards and visualization tools using modern front-end frameworks such as React or Solid.\nOrchestration & Data Pipelines:\nOrchestrate complex services within a Kubernetes environment, managing deployments, ingress controllers, service meshes, and stateful workloads.\nDesign and implement distributed data pipelines to ingest, process, and store high-volume data efficiently.\nEnsure seamless data flow between cloud storage, microservices, and application layers while maintaining high availability.\nDevelopment & Testing of CI/CD & Reliability:\nBuild and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery.\nImplement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and cloud-readiness tests.\nMonitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks in production environments.\nCollaboration & Communication:\nPartner with data architects, DevOps teams, and product managers to align technical solutions with business objectives.\nProduce clear documentation of architectural patterns, deployment workflows, and operational procedures.\nHighly Desired Skills:\nExperience with Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).\nExperience with distributed streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).\nExperience in cloud monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.\nExperience with big data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark, is a plus.\nExperience with big data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark, is a plus.\nExperience deploying applications in a cloud environment.\nExperience developing and deploying data driven analytics; event driven analytics; sets of analytics orchestrated through rules engines.\nExperience developing and deploying analytics that include foreign language processing; analytic processes that incorporate/integrate multi-media technologies.\nQualifications\nRequired Technical Skills:\nStrong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) or Python.\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.\nSolid understanding of web application frameworks and microservice architecture.\nProven experience building and managing data processing pipelines.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.\nRESTful APIs development using Java (Spring Boot) or Python.\nInfrastructure as Code (IaC). This represents the typical salary range for this position.
