The candidate will have a primary focus of supporting all aspects of agile software design and development for a full featured service hosted on large scale compute clusters and AWS Cloud Infrastructure. Duties include design, development, testing and integration of capabilities, optimization & performance tuning, and operation & sustainment functions.Competencies and Skills:\nExperience with Large Language Models (LLM) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)\nExpertise in AWS Cloud Architecture design\nProficiency in using AWS SDKs and APIs\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform\nExpertise in Continuous Integration, Deployment, Testing and Monitoring practices\nJava programming for distributed systems, with experience in networking and multi-threading\nAgile development experience with source code management practices and tools\nWell-grounded in Linux fundamentals and knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)\nFamiliarity with microservices software development techniques and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)\nKnowledge of security and compliance best practices\nAs a Cloud Software Engineer, you are expected to perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution at a high level of proficiency and independence. You are expected to communicate directions and provide guidance to more junior programmer/analysts, as required. Cloud Software Engineers must be adept at developing solutions which balance cost, capability, availability and resilience. Additionally, Cloud Software Engineers may be responsible for evaluating project needs, determining tasks and durations, and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness.\nQualifications\nShall have at least eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.\nA Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is required. An additional four (4) years of experience can be considered over the degree.
