In this role, you’ll help sustain and optimize a cloud-based enterprise platform built with Java and Free and Open-Source Software technologies including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo-enabling execution of data-intensive analytics on managed infrastructure. As a Cloud Systems Administrator, you will be part of the Operations Team responsible for maintaining day-to-day platform stability, supporting customer operations, and troubleshooting repair expertise and technical issues across complex Linux-based environments.\nThe team is looking for a Cloud System Administrator to perform in a cloud environment platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to enable the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.\nThe candidate will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements. This is an evening or mid shift position and candidate is expected to provide Tier 1 through 3 supports. The candidate should have a strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment. Additional knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop and scripting experience such as python and bash is beneficial\nYou will work in a fast-paced technical environment where attention to detail, proactive task management, and the ability to independently diagnose operational issues are essential to mission success.\nOther experience that could benefit the candidate: Prometheus, JIRA, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Virtualization, Salt/ Ansible, Grafana, Openstack and AWS.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupport daily operations of cloud-based analytic platforms\nProvide Tier 1-3 support for infrastructure and system-level issues\nTroubleshoot operational issues within Linux environments\nManage RedHat/CentOS provisioning using kickstart\nPerform Linux/Unix networking analysis using tools such as nmap and tcpdump\nSupport DNS administration including hosts files and DHCP\nAssist with containerized and distributed platform technologies\nCollaborate with engineering teams to resolve system performance issues\nSupport on-call operational requirements\nQualifications\n7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS command line\n7 years of experience Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)\n7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning (Setting it up)\n2+ years of experience RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP)\nBachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.\n8570 IAT Level I or higher (preferably Security+) is required and must be obtained prior to starting\nActive TS/SCI security clearance with Poly\nOne of the following certifications are required:\nAWS DevOps Engineer Professional\nCDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base\nCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)\nPossession of a Cloud Certification and 8570 certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.\nTechnologies You May Work With\nDocker\nKubernetes\nHadoop / HDFS\nPrometheus\nGrafana\nSalt / Ansible\nOpenStack\nAWS\nPython / Bash scripting\nJIRA\nTarget Salary Range\n$135,000 - $216,000.
