Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nPeraton is Cyber Threat Analyst - Global Threat Analysis (GTA) for its' Federal Strategic Cyber program.\nLocation: Rosslyn, VA (Hybrid schedule is an option after 90 days on-site)\nIn this role, you will:\nNeed to have regional cyber threat expertise, a deep understanding of historical cyber activity, and a strong grasp of the current global cyber threat landscape. \nCombine technical expertise with analytical writing and briefing skills to assess, contextualize, and communicate cyber threats.\nConduct research on classified systems and leverage open-source cyber resources to deliver intelligence-driven insights.\nMust also be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how U.S. Government (USG) personnel are targeted domestically and overseas by cyber adversaries.\nKey Responsibilities include:\nAnalyze cyber threats from state and non-state actors, identifying trends, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).\nConduct in-depth research on classified systems and leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT) to assess emerging threats.\nProvide cybersecurity briefings and consultations to diverse audiences-including technical experts, non-technical stakeholders, and senior leadership-to support informed decision-making.\nMonitor and evaluate adversarial cyber activity and its implications for USG personnel and critical infrastructure.\nCollaborate with internal and external partners to enhance situational awareness and strengthen cybersecurity posture.\nUtilize technical expertise to assess malware, exploit trends, and cyber intrusion techniques.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of global cyber threats and actors, particularly those with strategic impact on U.S. interests.\nIdeal Candidate Profile:\nRegional cyber threat expertise with knowledge of historical and current adversarial activity.\nStrong analytical writing and briefing skills, with the ability to communicate complex threats clearly.\nTechnical proficiency in malware analysis, intrusion techniques, and exploit trends.\nExperience conducting research on classified systems and integrating OSINT resources.\nDeep understanding of adversarial targeting of USG personnel and critical infrastructure.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Masters degree.An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree. \n\nPossess and maintain, or be able to obtain before start date, the following professional certification:CAP; CASP+ CE; CCISO; CCNA-Security; CISM; CISSP (or Associate); CISSP (or Associate);CND; CSSLP; CySA+; GICSP; GSEC; GSLC; Security+ CE; SSCP; PPDA; Agile IC; SNOW App Dev\n\nDemonstrated strong writing and briefing skills; experience delivering reports to senior leadership.\nExpertise in adversarial cyber actors, historical cyber activity, and the current cyber landscape.\nExperience conducting research on classified systems and utilizing open-source cyber resources.\nKnowledge of how USG personnel are targeted domestically and overseas by cyber threats.\nTechnical proficiency in cybersecurity principles, including malware analysis, network defense, and incident response.\nDemonstrated familiarity with intelligence tradecraft, cyber threat intelligence methodologies, and cyber threat frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, etc.).\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment while managing multiple priorities.\nU.S. citizenship required. \nActive Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI clearance.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with cyber threat intelligence platforms, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM tools.\nKnowledge of foreign cyber threat actors and their strategic objectives.\nPrevious experience in a government, military, or intelligence community (IC) role.\nTarget Salary Range\n$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
