This position provides overall network service delivery leadership across the Austin Data Center (ADC), San Angelo Data Center (SDC), and CyrusOne colocation nodes in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. The successful candidate will oversee a complex enterprise data center network environment encompassing the DCN Ring, LAN infrastructure, firewalls, load balancers, cloud connectivity, VRFs, routing, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), remote access infrastructure, firewall automation, and network laboratory operations.\nCandidate must be willing to travel to both sites- Austin and San Angelo TX. and must be local to the Austin TX area or willing to relocate.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMaintain overall accountability for all data center network services across:\nAustin Data Center (ADC)\nSan Angelo Data Center (SDC)\nCyrusOne colocation nodes\nManage DCN Ring operations, including a 20 Gbps MPLS network across five locations:\nAustin Data Center\nSan Angelo Data Center\nAustin CyrusOne\nDallas CyrusOne\nSan Antonio CyrusOne\nOversee LAN operations at both Consolidated Data Centers, including approximately:\n205 data switches\n164 fabric extenders\n64 firewalls\n44 load balancers\nManage CyrusOne colocation nodes in:\nAustin\nDallas\nSan Antonio\nManage public cloud connectivity across:\nAzure Government\nAWS Government\nAzure Commercial\nAWS Commercial\nOversee approximately 60 Gbps of cloud connectivity via Megaport.\nManage approximately 40-50 VRFs.\nProvide operational oversight of:\nOSPF\nMPLS\nMP-BGP\nBFD\nLead Software-Defined Networking (SDN) operations and evolution.\nOversee automated firewall rule management.\nManage a minimum 500-user two-factor remote access infrastructure.\nMaintain the LAN laboratory used for pre-production change testing.\nCoordinate network service delivery, operational performance, change management, incident resolution, and infrastructure evolution.\nMaintain network availability, stability, security, and performance across the in-scope environment.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\n10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience\n8+ years of enterprise data center networking experience.\nDemonstrated experience with MPLS, BGP, and OSPF routing design and operations\nCisco data center platform experience including:\nCisco ASR routers\nCisco Nexus switches\nSoftware-Defined Networking (SDN) design and operations experience\nExperience with firewall management and network security operations.\nExperience managing multi-tenant network environments, including:\nVRF\nMPLS\nStrong understanding of enterprise data center network architecture, routing, switching, security, and connectivity.\nExperience managing complex, high-availability network environments.\nStrong network service delivery and operational leadership experience.\nCisco CCNP (Data Center or Enterprise) Certification\nMust be a US Citizen\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with cloud connectivity, including:\nMegaport\nAWS Direct Connect\nAzure ExpressRoute\nCisco CCIE strongly preferred.\nITIL Foundation preferred.\nGovernment IT networking experience preferred.\nExperience managing network infrastructure within a government or regulated environment.\nExperience with large-scale multi-site data center networks.\nExperience with SDN transformation and network modernization.\nExperience with network automation and automated security rule management.\nExperience supporting multi-vendor/MSI government IT environments.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
