Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nPeraton seeks a Data Engineer to support Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI/ML security support.\nLocation: Fort Meade, MD.\nIn this role, you will design and implement data infrastructure, pipelines, and integration solutions to support DCDC analytic capabilities within Caspian and JCRS-D environments. You will operate as part of the Analytic Development Team.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement ETL workflows using Airflow, NiFi, or similar\nDevelop data transformation logic for schema compliance\nIntegrate data from IoT streams, APIs, and legacy systems\nImplement data validation and quality checks\nOptimize pipeline performance and reliability\nMaintain data lineage tracking and documentation\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Strong foundational skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.\nStrong understanding of common web vulnerabilities (XSS, Injection, DoS, ReDoS, Clickjacking) to ensure security compliance during refactoring\nExperience using Flux CD and Kubernetes to deploy applications, and using GitLab for security pipelines\nExperience with Node.js and Express\nExperience with MarkLogic, specifically utilizing xQuery to search, query, and manage database data\nTarget Salary Range\n$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
