This person will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing database environments across various business applications and platforms. This role involves performing database administration, development, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and production support within AIX and UNIX environments.\nWork Location: This is a remote position\nWhat You Will do:\nPerform database administration, maintenance, and support for DB2 database environments across various business\nInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain database software across AIX and UNIX\nDevelop, modify, troubleshoot, and execute SQL, DDL, and DML scripts to support moderately complex\nCreate and maintain database objects, including tables, constraints, triggers, views, stored procedures, functions, packages, and other database\nRead, troubleshoot, modify, and test UNIX shell scripts to support database operations and application\nDevelop and maintain database deployment scripts to support changes across development, testing, and production\nCoordinate with application development, technical support, configuration management, and database operations teams to implement database changes and\nProvide ongoing production database support, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure database availability, stability, and reliability.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nU.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance. \nMust be willing to undergo a pre-employment credit check as required by the Customer.\nBachelors Degree and 8 years of experience; an Associates Degree and 10 years of experience, a Masters Degree and 6 years of experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years of experience\nExperience administering and supporting IBM DB2 database environments as well as DB2 database installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\nKnowledge and understanding of relational database concepts, database structures, and procedural\nWorking knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and execute DDL, DML, and SQL statements to support application\nExperience creating, modifying, and maintaining database objects, including tables, constraints, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, and\nBasic understanding of database development concepts and SQL/PL/SQL programming\nWorking knowledge of UNIX or AIX environments, including the ability to read, troubleshoot, modify,and test shell\nAbility to perform database administration tasks, including database maintenance, troubleshooting, software installation, and\nUnderstanding of database deployment processes and the ability to develop and execute deployment scripts across multiple\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting databases within AIX and UNIX operating system environments.\nExperience writing and maintaining SQL and PL/SQL scripts for application development and database support.\nExperience with database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with database change management, release management, and deployment processes across multiple environments.\nExperience supporting production databases in an enterprise environment.\nKnowledge of database backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.\nExperience working with application development teams and supporting moderately complex software applications.\nFamiliarity with enterprise operational procedures, change controls, and risk management practices.\nTarget Salary Range\n$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
