Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nPeraton is seeking an experienced Database Engineer - MongoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDB & Oracle to provide database expertise and technical guidance to a development team supporting enterprise applications by design and implement data infrastructure, ETL pipelines, and integration solutions to the Federal Agency customer. This individual will also support the Data Architect with database design, performance tuning, optimization, and data pipeline development efforts while providing hands-on expertise with MongoDB, Oracle, Databricks, and relational database technologies.\nWork Location: Onsite; Lanham, Maryland\nShift Schedule: 8am - 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)\nWhat You Will Do:\nDesign and implement ETL workflows using Informatica, and Glue\nDevelop data transformation logic for schema compliance, data accuracy, and data quality\nIntegrate data from on-prem, cloud, and legacy systems\nImplement data validation and quality checks\nOptimize pipeline performance and reliability\nMaintain data lineage tracking and documentation\nServe as the Data SME, providing technical expertise and guidance to development and technical teams.\nSupport database design, data modeling, performance tuning, optimization, implementation, and operational support.\nSupport MongoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, and relational database environments, including Oracle.\nSupporting the ETL platforms for large-scale databases exceeding 5TB, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.\nTroubleshoot complex database issues and identify opportunities for performance and operational improvements.\nSupport Databricks and enterprise-level data solutions.\nCollaborate with developers, architects, and technical teams to develop and maintain scalable, high-performing data integration solutions.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and 5 years of professional experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years of professional experience.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance.\n5 years of demonstrated database ETL experience.\nStrong hands-on expertise with MongoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, relational database technologies, including Oracle.\nStrong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, AWS Glue.\nDemonstrated experience supporting large-scale databases greater than 5TB and optimizing enterprise database environments to ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.\nAbility to provide technical expertise and guidance on database architecture, design, implementation, and operational support.\nPreferred Skills:\nActive IRS MBI Clearance\nExperience with Databricks.\nDatabricks foundational/basic certification desired.\nInformatica/AWS Glue certification desired.\nExperience supporting highly scalable, enterprise-level database environments.\nTarget Salary Range\n$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
