investigate and resolve or escalate errors across applications, infrastructure, and deployment workflows.\nContribute to the design and operation of secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.\nIntegrate security practices into development and deployment workflows; perform system hardening, complete applicable DISA STIG checklists, and support Information Assurance assessments.\nEvaluate and implement tools and practices that improve software delivery, system operations, and reliability.\nMaintain technical documentation for procedures, configurations, and deployed architecture.\nWork with stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize work, and communicate progress, risks, and blockers.\nQualifications\nRequired\nA Bachelor’s degree in an area applicable to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement.\nActive TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph.\nDoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security+ CE, CISSP).\nExperience using Git and CI/CD or artifact-management tools such as GitLab, GitLab Runners, Jenkins, and Artifactory.\nExperience automating infrastructure, configuration, or deployment tasks using Bash, Python, and Ansible.\nExperience administering Linux systems and troubleshooting Linux-based environments.\nExperience deploying and supporting containerized applications using Docker, OpenShift, or a comparable container platform.\nExperience working with AWS services, including EC2, S3, and RDS.\nExperience creating and maintaining Helm charts and Docker Compose files, and deploying applications with them.\nFulltime work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible.\nDesired\nExperience administering or supporting Elasticsearch, NiFi, and/or PostgreSQL.\nExperience building and maintaining container images, including writing or updating Dockerfiles.\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\nFamiliarity with Splunk or other log-management and analytics tools\nPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and participation in an attractive bonus plan.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
