In this role, you will assess and document the current (“as-is”) network architecture, develop a forward-looking (“to-be”) design, and ensure holistic risk mitigation across all integrated networks. You will play a key role in aligning IT infrastructure with organizational strategic and mission objectives, while standardizing security practices to enhance overall resilience and efficiency. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support scalable, secure, and mission-critical network operations.\nMandatory/Required Experience:\nStrong knowledge of routing/switching, WAN, VPN, segmentation, and high availability design.\nHands-on expertise with firewall architectures and operations (policy design, NAT, threat prevention, logging/monitoring).\nExperience performing risk assessments and designing mitigations at the system-of-systems level.\nProven ability to create clear network architecture documentation and diagrams.\nExperience documenting as-is and to-be network architecture (topologies, data flow, dependencies, configurations, inventories).\nExperience implementing network security standards and reference architecture (firewall, segmentation, routing policies, secure remote access).\nExperience with communicating complex information in a clear, concise manner and navigation complex organizational dynamics to achieve project goals.\nExperience with interfacing effectively with industrial partners and internal teams to guide critical cyber security documents to approval.\nExperience with building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders and upper management.\nDesired Experience:\nPrevious experience in strategic planning, such as developing IT investment roadmaps or conducting technology gap analyses.\nKnowledge of emerging technologies like edge computing or AI-Driven network management\nQualifications\nMinimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.\nDegree in engineering or technology field, or equivalent industry experience\nTS/SCI with Poly required\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
