This role serves as the on-site point of contact for program customers and employees, executing and coordinating work order requests, office moves, site openings and closures, supply management, vendor coordination, and general upkeep. The technician balances hands-on maintenance work with customer service, logistics coordination, and light project management to ensure a safe, functional, and professional workplace environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork Order & Service Request Management\nReceive, triage, and complete work order requests through the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Maximo, Archibus).\nPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs: lighting, ceiling tiles, doors/locks, furniture, plumbing fixtures, HVAC comfort adjustments, minor electrical, and general handyman tasks.\nEscalate work outside of scope or trade certification to the appropriate licensed vendor and manage that vendor to completion.\nProgram Customer Coordination\nServe as the primary on-site facilities point of contact for program teams and building occupants.\nCommunicate proactively on service status, scheduled outages, disruptions, and completion timelines.\nSupport program-specific facility requirements (secure spaces, lab areas, specialized rooms) in coordination with security and program leadership.\nConduct routine walk-throughs and respond to occupant concerns promptly and professionally.\nOffice Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC)\nCoordinate and execute employee moves, workstation reconfigurations, and departmental relocations.\nPlan move logistics: labeling, sequencing, furniture disassembly/reassembly, IT hand-off, and post-move punch list.\nPartner with IT, Security, and HR to ensure seating, badge access, phone/data drops, and nameplates are aligned on move day.\nMaintain accurate space and occupancy records.\nSite Openings & Closures\nSupport new site stand-ups: furniture installation, signage, supply stocking, initial vendor setup, and readiness inspections.\nSupport site closures: decommissioning of furniture and equipment, asset disposition, records handling, vendor termination coordination, and landlord turnover walk-throughs.\nCoordinate with Corporate Real Estate, Security, IT, and program leadership on move-in/move-out schedules and punch lists.\nVendor Coordination\nCoordinate day-to-day activities of janitorial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pest control, landscaping, and other service vendors; verify quality of work.\nSafety, Compliance & Readiness\nConduct routine facility inspections; identify and correct safety hazards.\nSupport life safety systems checks (fire extinguishers, AEDs, emergency lighting, exit signage) and coordinate required annual inspections.\nFollow OSHA, NFPA, and Peraton EH&S policies; maintain a clean, organized shop and work area.\nParticipate in emergency response, business continuity, and after-hours as needed.\nGeneral\nMaintain professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with employees, customers, and visitors.\nOther duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n1+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance, building operations, or general trades experience in an office/commercial environment.\nWorking knowledge of general building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and life safety (troubleshooting to the technician level).\nExperience using a work order ticketing system.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).\nStrong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of staff and program customers.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform work requiring standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.\nValid driver's license.\nTS-SCI or ability to obtain.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTechnical/vocational training or knowledge of HVAC and electrical. \nExperience supporting office moves, new site openings, or site closures in a multi-site corporate environment.\nFamiliarity with vendor management and small-purchase procurement processes.\nExperience in a government contracting or cleared-facility environment.\nPhysical & Work Environment\nOn-site presence required; primarily indoor office environment with occasional exterior work.\nSome evening, weekend, or after-hours work to support moves, outages, and emergencies.\nTravel between company facilities.\nMust be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, use hand and power tools safely, and operate powered equipment (pallet jacks, lifts) as trained.\nCore Competencies\nCustomer focus and professionalism.\nProblem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting.\nOrganization, prioritization, and follow-through.\nCommunication - verbal, written.\nSafety mindset.\nTeam collaboration across IT, Security, HR, and program stakeholders.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
