The ideal candidate brings strong cloud and Kubernetes experience along with the ability to support production mission applications and complex platform environments.\nResponsibilities\nPlatform & Tenant Engineering\nBuild, configure, and operate standardized tenant environments across approved security domains.\n\nSupport repeatable development, test, staging, production, and recovery environment patterns.\n\nMaintain tenant-specific configuration and deployment integrations while preserving common platform standards.\n\nSupport self-service provisioning capabilities for authorized users and administrators.\n\nDevelop and maintain repeatable platform configurations and deployment processes.\n\nTroubleshoot platform and tenant-environment issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate engineering teams.\n\nMission Application Hosting & Integration\nHost and operate mission applications using standardized cloud and containerized runtime environments.\n\nDesign, configure, and operate shared application-processing and platform services.\n\nIntegrate applications with common platform services, data services, and approved external systems.\n\nSupport application deployment, scaling, lifecycle management, retirement, logging, monitoring, and alerting.\n\nCollaborate with application development teams to ensure applications are properly integrated with platform capabilities and operational requirements.\n\nOperations, Capacity & Performance\nMonitor service availability, resource utilization, application performance, and platform capacity across tenant environments.\n\nPerform capacity and performance analysis and recommend infrastructure or configuration changes to maintain service reliability.\n\nSupport resource utilization tracking, cost analysis, forecasting, and rightsizing recommendations.\n\nTroubleshoot complex application-hosting, platform, and processing issues.\n\nParticipate in Tier 3/4 support, production operations, and scheduled maintenance activities.\n\nSupport continuous improvement of platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.\n\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.\n\nBS/BA and 5+ years of experience, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nApproximately 5-8 years of experience in cloud, platform, infrastructure, mission application, or related systems engineering.\n\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.\n\nExperience with cloud infrastructure and cloud-based application hosting.\n\nExperience operating application-hosting or multi-tenant environments.\n\nStrong platform, systems, and application troubleshooting skills.\n\nExperience supporting production services and application lifecycle activities.\n\nExperience with deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational support of enterprise applications.\n\nStrong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with one or more of the following:\nGEOINT or geospatial mission systems.\n\nMission application hosting or comparable large-scale enterprise platforms.\n\nAWS or other cloud environments supporting secure or restricted workloads.\n\nGitLab and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nGeospatial processing technologies.\n\nMulti-tenant platform capacity, utilization, or cost management.\n\nInfrastructure as Code and automated deployment practices.\n\nExperience supporting classified or highly regulated enterprise environments.\n\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
