Monitors existing systems for structural integrity and oversees the development and installation of new hardware and software. Installs and configures operating systems, other software and routinely test installed software for error detection and other issues. Writes custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention and create automated solutions for the GSC Portal. This position establishes multi-platform versions of the software package and write tests for existing and created code to ensure compatibility and stability.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide development support to the current GSC Portal web developments.\nBuild and maintain a suite of applications to deliver the metrics, performance measurement, and alerts Dashboard. This includes the maintenance of a test and production environment.\nMaintain a thorough change log in MHSSHD for all updates to the GSC supported websites.\nTest all updates to the site and gain appropriate approval prior to promoting the change into production.\nLeverage industry best practice system development techniques as well as system life cycle development methodology to maintain the development environment.\nWork with various departments to identify and capture new requirements\nAnalyze existing manual reporting activities and apply automation techniques to drive GSC operational efficiencies.\nCoordinate with groups as necessary to provide details necessary for RMF certification and accreditation of the GSC Portal developed tools.\nWork special projects as required and maintain application system documentation\nMaintain and support Enterprise platform across network, application, and database tiers\nAbility to develop and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes utilizing UiPath\nAnalyze existing manual reporting activities and apply automation techniques to drive Service Center efficiencies\nLeverage industry best practice system development techniques as well as system life cycle development and agile methodology to maintain the development environment\nBuild and maintain a suite of applications to deliver the metrics, performance measurement, and alerts Dashboard. This includes the maintenance of a test, COOP, and production environment\nPerform additional tasks as required\nSkills:\nStrong customer service and communications skills, both oral and written\nStrong critical thinking skills that facilitate expedient problem solving\nProven project management skills in setting priorities to meet project deadlines\nStrong development, documentation and debugging skills\nSelf-motivated to seek continual improvement and problem solving\nDemonstrated knowledge of ColdFusion 2023. Specifically, administration, deployment, and maintenance of an application server that utilizes a Microsoft IIS web server\nProven experience utilizing AWS Cloud Services. Specifically, DynamoDB, Lambda, Connect, S3, and IAM Security\nDemonstrated database schema, data query building, and data analytics skills. Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server preferred\nOO programming principles/design patterns a plus\nExperienced in utilizing GitLab or other versioning systems\nExperience with Visual Studio Code Development environment\nAbility to integrate/develop web application functionality via APIs to various enterprise endpoints\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; 12 years if experience with a high school diploma \nMust be a US Citizen\nPublic Trust Clearance/ or ability to obtain one\nPrimary work locations in San Antonio, TX, and Falls Church, VA. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
