The ideal candidate combines hands-on ServiceNow development experience with knowledge of IT service-management practices, system integration, and workflow automation.\nResponsibilities\nServiceNow & Workflow Engineering\nConfigure, develop, and maintain ServiceNow workflows supporting enterprise services and user requests.\n\nDevelop automated request, approval, assignment, notification, and fulfillment workflows.\n\nIntegrate ServiceNow with enterprise platforms, REST APIs, and automation services.\n\nConfigure service requests and fulfillment processes for approved access, infrastructure, and shared-service capabilities.\n\nTroubleshoot workflow failures, integration issues, and automation defects.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.\n\nIT Service Management Integration\nSupport ITIL-aligned incident, request, problem, change, knowledge, and configuration-management processes.\n\nIntegrate service-management workflows with enterprise service desks, operational teams, and escalation procedures.\n\nSupport Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integrations and service-data management where applicable.\n\nDevelop and maintain knowledge articles, technical documentation, workflow procedures, and support guidance.\n\nCollaborate with service-management and engineering teams to ensure workflows align with operational requirements and established processes.\n\nService Delivery & Automation\nDevelop and maintain self-service workflows and service-request capabilities for technical users and administrators.\n\nAutomate request routing and fulfillment to reduce manual handoffs and improve service-delivery efficiency.\n\nDevelop dashboards and reports to monitor request status, fulfillment times, backlogs, and service performance.\n\nIdentify repetitive service requests and evaluate opportunities for safe, reliable automation.\n\nPartner with platform, cloud, IAM, DevSecOps, and operations teams to integrate service-management processes with technical capabilities.\n\nSupport continuous improvement of service workflows, integrations, and user-facing documentation.\n\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.\n\nApproximately 4-7 years of experience in IT service management, ServiceNow development or administration, workflow engineering, application integration, or automation.\n\n4+ years of experience with a BS/BA, 6+ years' of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\nHands-on experience configuring or developing ServiceNow capabilities and workflows.\n\nExperience integrating systems and services using REST APIs or comparable integration methods.\n\nWorking knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, request, problem, and change management.\n\nExperience with scripting, workflow automation, or application integration.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skills.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and service-management teams.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with one or more of the following is beneficial:\nServiceNow developer or administrator certification.\n\nService Catalog, self-service portals, and request-fulfillment automation.\n\nIntegrationHub, Flow Designer, or ServiceNow APIs.\n\nCloud automation and integration with AWS services.\n\nIdentity and access-management workflow integration.\n\nCI/CD pipelines or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) integration.\n\nCMDB configuration, service mapping, or configuration-management practices.\n\nExperience supporting secure or highly regulated enterprise IT environments.\n\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
