You'll be the expert who keeps those systems running.\nThe Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) N6 Regional Support program provides technical and programmatic support to Navy regions around the world. The work spans IT, Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP), Enterprise Land Mobile Radio, dispatch and alarm systems, network engineering, Facility Related Control Systems, and information assurance. Our team supports the Regional Dispatch Centers, E911 services, and the local and regional alarm monitoring systems (LAMAS/RAMAS) that sit at the center of installation security.\nWe're looking for an experienced, hands-on Lenel Technician who loves solving problems in the field. You'll be based mainly at NSA Naples, Italy, the hub for Navy operations across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. No two days are the same.\nA path forward: Grow from technician to Senior Technician/Engineer and Subject Matter Expert.\nLead in the field: Mentor junior technicians and set the standard for quality work.\nWhat You'll Do\nKeep the systems running. Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Lenel OnGuard access control systems, including card readers, controllers, panels, door hardware interfaces, intrusion detection sensors, and integrated CCTV/video surveillance.\n Be the go-to alarm expert. Provide technical support for Lenel and other alarm platforms used in the region (SiS, King Fisher, Monaco, Digitize, Keltron, Simplex, and AMAG). Guide Government users on how to operate them.\n Power regional alarm monitoring. Integrate, administer, test, monitor, and sustain the local and regional alarm monitoring systems (LAMAS/RAMAS), including fire and intrusion detection alarm feeds.\nKeep data accurate. Update alarm databases, cardholder and access-level records, and notification systems whenever installation configurations change.\nPrevent problems before they happen. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, integration, and testing.\n Secure the systems. Support cybersecurity compliance through patching, vulnerability scans, configuration management, and documentation that supports the Authority to Operate (ATO).\nDeliver outstanding service. Manage trouble tickets in the Remedy ticketing system, conduct site surveys, and report system status.\nDocument and teach. Maintain SOPs, as-built drawings, maintenance logs, equipment inventories, warranties, licenses, and spare parts records. Train operators and end users.\n Team up. Work with Navy security and public safety personnel and with equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve outages fast. Provide on-call support for critical outages.\nIn This Role, You'll Also\nOwn field installation, checkout, maintenance, and repair of Lenel OnGuard hardware and cabling. This includes soldering, cable dressing, cable tray and conduit work, and making and repairing connectors.\nRun day-to-day OnGuard administration: cardholder enrollment, badging, access levels, alarm configuration, and reader and panel programming.\nTrack down and fix field faults in controllers, readers, locks, sensors, and communication paths.\nLead and mentor junior technicians and model good shop practices and safety.\nQualifications\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience\n Education: 5 years of practical experience (Experience may be substituted: Associates degree counts for 2 years and Bachelors for 4 years) in electronics repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout with High school diploma or GED, plus formal electronics training from a technical school, a Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or an electronics apprentice program. The training must include installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making and repairing connectors. \nClearance\n Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) Personnel Clearance Level (PCL) at the start, maintained for the life of the assignment.\nMust have a favorable background investigation and FBI fingerprint check on file, and must be eligible for a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).\nCitizenship\nUS. citizenship is required.\nWork Location\n Primary: On-site at NSA Naples, Italy (OCONUS).\nThis is an on-site role at a Government facility. Telework is not available.\nOCONUS candidates must be willing to relocate to and live in Italy, and must complete Government overseas onboarding requirements like TESA.\nMust be willing to travel to regional sites as the mission requires.\nCertifications\n Lenel OnGuard Associate certification or higher (e.g., OnGuard Professional or above), current \n DoD 8140 compliance based on DCWF code 451 Systems Administrator - Basic Level or the ability to earn it within six (6) months of starting the position.\nDesired Qualifications\nYou'll stand out if you have:\nA background in military electronics maintenance.\nBroad physical security experience: CCTV/video management, intrusion detection, mass notification, Access Control Points and Entry Control Points (ACP/ECP), and vehicle barriers.\nLow-voltage electrical, structured cabling, or BICSI training.\nField service experience in military, airport, industrial, or critical infrastructure settings.\nLenel OnGuard Professional or a higher-level LenelS2 certification.\nExperience with other alarm and access control platforms: SiS, King Fisher, Monaco, Digitize, Keltron, Simplex, or AMAG.\nExperience supporting CNIC, NAVFAC, or other U.S. Navy installation programs.\nPrevious OCONUS experience, especially in Europe. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
