Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.\nLocation: Beltsville, MD.\nWhat you’ll do:\nProvide Linux and cyber tools administration and Tier 2 support across a range of systems spread globally.\nMaintain Ansible playbooks for rapid deployment of updated containers.\nMaintain and leverage Satellite server for distributed RHEL patching.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation regarding Linux administration and patching.\nAssist in updating of IDS definitions.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nA Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the bachelor's degree requirement.\nMust either possess and maintain, or obtain prior to start date, one of the following professional certifications:CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security+ CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev. \n\n Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 8, and 9 - hands-on administration, patching, and deployment from scratch; working experience with RHEL 9 environments specifically required\nAnsible - ability to both run and write/modify playbooks for automated deployment and configuration\nRed Hat Satellite - experience managing distributed RHEL patching at scale\nBash scripting - must be able to author basic-to-intermediate scripts, not just execute them\nDISA STIGs / system hardening - practical experience applying security configurations\nSCAP tools - familiarity with scanning and compliance validation\nIDS/security tooling - basic experience with definition updates or signature management\nProcess documentation - ability to write and maintain clear technical procedures\nU.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance to start.\nDesired Qualifications\nBasic networking knowledge - OSI model, firewalls, switches/routers\nVMware or equivalent virtualization - creating and managing VMs\nBasic hardware troubleshooting experience\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
