As part of the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Tier 3 team you will support an exciting program which involves design, development, test, and deployment of a broad and complex system in an Agile construct to contribute to mission success for a variety of stakeholders. Join us and be part of the next generation of innovators as we blaze a trail forward for our profession and company.\nWhat you'll do:\nSupport our cloud-based classified environment, ensuring the uptime of our multi-tenant, multi-level infrastructure \nPerform daily system monitoring and monthly patching as part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team \nManage operating system configurations, system documentation, performance tuning, software installations and updates, system hardening, and storage allocation \nHelp monitor and maintain mission-critical, highly available, high-performance networked systems in a team-oriented environment \nWork closely with other engineering teams to improve our platforms and eliminate complexity from architecture and processes \nMonitor and address tenant discrepancy reports pushed to Tier 3 \nMonitor and manage system resources to maintain efficiency \nProvide Tier 3 development support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution \nQualifications\nRequired qualifications:\nThis position requires the candidate to possess a minimum of Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. The candidate must maintain the clearance. \nBachelor’s degree in a field of study applicable to the position with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. \nA minimum of 2 years of experience in a previous System Administration role:Ability to express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications \nExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with management, the customer, and tenants across DoD \nDetail/ process oriented, can multi-task, and the ability to work with minimal supervision \n\nMeet DoD 8140 foundational qualifications for the work role of System Administrator at an Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level\nExperience in system installation, patching and testing, and system configuration of networked services, file systems, basic scripting and authentication experience \nOperating System administration skills for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x and later to include building systems up from bare metal, performing software package installation, operating system and application troubleshooting, and implementing security hardening \nApply patches, updates, and hotfixes using Red Hat Satellite, YUM, or DNF \nExperience ensuring consistent software versions across environments and systems are current \nExperience diagnosing / resolving system issues, analyze system logs using journalctl, dmesg, or /var/log \nExperience collaborating with Red Hat support (or other similar vendors) for more complex issues \nDirect experience working in Windows and/or Linux operating systems \nMaintain detailed system documentation in Confluence, Git or other similar tools \nPerform and/or analyze regular vulnerability scans and address findings \nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with virtualization/cloud-based technologies (e.g. OpenStack, Citrix XenServer Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, and/or VMWare), Docker Containers, Ansible, and/or Heat templates \nFamiliarity with Red Hat tools: RH Virtualization, RH Satellite, RH OpenStack, RH OpenShift \nConfigure Red Hat High Availability clusters for critical services \nManage load balancing and failover systems \nExperience with Windows A/D, GPO and system configuration/administration\nBenefits:\nPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan\nTarget Salary Range\n$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
