Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nPeraton is hiring a Mid-level Data Scientist to work with the United States Transportation Command’s Human Capital Strategy & Analytics Branch (TCJ1-RD) to enhance, develop, and maintain a sustainable data strategy, management, and analytics program.\nLocation: Scott AFB, Illinois\nIn this role, you will:\nApply your knowledge and experience to transform data into actionable information to inform strategic human capital management, enhance labor market analysis for civilian recruitment, improve professional development and skill alignment, and develop initiatives focused on retaining top talent. \nDeliver data-driven decisional products that support active-duty, Guard and Reserve military members, and civilian employees.\nDesign and implement business intelligence dashboards powered by advanced data science algorithms, including predictive analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other data science methods.\nDevelop and maintain a robust data foundation to ensure the availability of on-demand, analysis-ready human capital data.\nAnalyze data to identify trends and relationships.\nMap and analyze data across secure and non-classified defense networks.\nContinuously improve existing tools, making them faster, more effective, accurate, and efficient.\nEnsure effective communication and collaboration among users, subject matter experts, and leadership.\nProvide insight and expertise to the team when developing processes to manage the lifecycle of data science tools.\nMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of technology trends.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters and 3 years, or PhD.\nExperience with Palantir Foundry.\nDemonstrated experience creating dashboards and business intelligence, and/or data science tools.\nDemonstrated collaborative, team-oriented mindset.\nDemonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nAbility to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.\nTarget Salary Range\n$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
