an additional 4 years in lieu of bachelors degree will be considered. \nMinimum of 3 years of experience administering and supporting Linux systems in production environments.\nStrong hands-on experience with Ubuntu Linux.\nSolid understanding of Linux system administration concepts.\nProficiency with the Linux command line and common shell utilities\nExperience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across operating systems.\nWorking knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, routing, firewalls, and common network troubleshooting tools.\nExperience administering and troubleshooting servers in virtualized or cloud environments.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and diagnosing system health and performance issues.\nUnderstanding of system security fundamentals, including patch management, access controls, SSH security, and vulnerability remediation.\nAbility to document infrastructure, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes clearly.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nActive Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.\nPreferred/Nice to have:\nExperience with Docker and containerized applications.\nExperience with Ansible or other configuration-management/automation tools.\nExperience writing Bash or other shell scripts for system administration and automation. \nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS\nExperience administering web servers, reverse proxies, or application infrastructure such as Nginx.\nFamiliarity with databases and troubleshooting application/database connectivity.\nFamiliarity with centralized logging and monitoring platforms such as Grafana, ELK\nExperience with scripting or automation using Python\nExposure to high-availability, load balancing, and scalable infrastructure concepts.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
