Peraton is seeking an Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to support USCYBERCOM J2 at Fort Meade, MD, applying advanced decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, data mining, and modeling and simulation to address the command's most pressing operational and planning challenges.\nIn this role, you'll sit at the intersection of intelligence and quantitative analysis - providing unique, timely assessments on operationally-focused issues that directly inform senior leadership decisions. You'll collaborate with analysts and planners across the J2 enterprise, integrating ORSA methodologies into intelligence production and supporting the development and execution of Strategic and Operational assessments.\nThis is a senior-level role for a professional who brings both the technical depth to build rigorous analytical frameworks and the operational judgment to make them matter in a fast-moving command environment.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, develop, and apply decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, data mining, modeling and simulation, and other analytic methods to address operational and planning challenges\nCombine quantitative methods with military and/or IC judgment to facilitate senior leadership decisions\nProvide unique and timely analysis on pressing, operationally-focused issues using multi-source data and interdisciplinary techniques\nSupport development and execution of intelligence support to Strategic and Operational assessments\nDevelop and present analytical products and briefings to USCYBERCOM staff and senior leadership\nCollaborate with analysts and planners to integrate ORSA methodologies into intelligence production\nIdentify and apply innovative analytical approaches to complex intelligence problems\nRespond to Requests for Information (RFIs) requiring ORSA expertise\nDocument Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives\nQualifications\nWhat You Bring\nRequired:\nActive Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph\nMinimum of 12 years w/o a degree or 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD\nWorking knowledge of operations research methodologies, decision analytics, and IC/DoD classification guidelines\nDemonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and assessments in Microsoft Office formats\nProficiency with mathematical and statistical analysis techniques\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nPreferred:\nGraduate of a Service-level ORSA school\nBackground in operations research, systems analysis, or defense analytics\nExperience with modeling and simulation tools and decision analytics platforms\nFamiliarity with USCYBERCOM strategic and operational assessment frameworks\nKnowledge of military planning processes and intelligence support to assessments\n12+ years of relevant experience, including work within the last 2 years\n Master's degree in a related field - or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 additional years of senior-level experience (17 years total)\n 5+ years of Strategic, Operational, and/or service-level assessments experience\nPeraton drives missions of consequence - protecting and promoting U.S. national security at the highest levels. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
