The team delivers this mission through electronic access control systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) and video management systems, intrusion detection, contracted guard services, visitor management, and ongoing physical security assessments. The team also plays a central role in Peraton's growth activities, forecasting physical security costs associated with new facility buildouts, program captures, and proposal efforts.\nWe are seeking a Physical Security Analyst to join the team as a junior-level individual contributor. This is a developmental role designed for someone with foundational experience in physical security, facilities, or a related security field who is looking to grow into a well-rounded physical security professional. The analyst will support the team's day-to-day operations as well as its proposal and growth activities, working alongside senior team members on real-world projects from day one.\nResponsibilities\nPhysical Security Operations Support\nSupport day-to-day administration of enterprise physical security systems, including access control, CCTV/video management, visitor management, and intrusion detection\nAssist with badge issuance, access provisioning/deprovisioning, and routine access reviews\nMonitor and triage physical security alarms and events; escalate as appropriate\nSupport investigations into facility-related security incidents and compile supporting documentation\nHelp maintain accurate inventories of physical security equipment, cameras, readers, and related assets\nContracted Guard Force Support\nHelp coordinate day-to-day interactions with contracted guard service providers\nReview guard post orders, patrol logs, and incident reports for completeness\nAssist with guard scheduling coordination and documentation of post requirements\nSupport site visits and quality checks of guard operations\nProposal and Growth Support (Pricing & Cost Forecasting)\nSupport proposal and capture teams by developing physical security cost estimates for new facility buildouts and program expansions\nResearch vendor pricing for access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related physical security equipment\nHelp maintain reusable pricing templates, standardized bills of materials, and historical cost data\nCompile physical security sections of proposal narratives under the direction of senior team members\nParticipate in site surveys of candidate facilities and document findings\nDocumentation & Reporting\nMaintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), site-specific security plans, and system documentation\nPrepare periodic reports on access control activity, incidents, and system health\nSupport audits, physical security assessments, and compliance reviews\nMaintain organized project files and documentation for proposal and buildout efforts\nCollaboration\nPartner with Facilities, IT, Program Security, and HR teams on cross-functional efforts\nInteract professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors regarding physical security matters\nParticipate in team meetings, project reviews, and ongoing training\nQualifications\n2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, Business, or a related field - \nAt least 1 year of experience in physical security, facility security, law enforcement, military security operations, or a closely related role\n6+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. \nWorking familiarity with physical security concepts: access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, visitor management, and guard operations\nProficiency with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel (for pricing/cost work), Word, and Outlook\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nClear written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism\nUS Citizenship required\nAbility to obtain a secret security clearance. \nAbility to work on-site at Peraton facilities as needed and travel occasionally to other Peraton locations\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with any enterprise access control platform (e.g., Lenel, AMAG, Software House/C•CURE, Genetec, Avigilon)\nFamiliarity with any video management system (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Salient)\nExperience supporting proposals, pricing, or cost estimates in a government contracting environment\nExposure to physical security standards - UL 2050, DoD / IC construction standards, ICD 705 fundamentals, or RMF controls (CP, PE families)\nPrior experience interacting with contracted guard services\nActive or prior security clearance (Secret or higher)\nIndustry certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional) - or on a path toward them\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
