The Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:\nOversees purchases of materials, equipment, products, parts, services, and supplies necessary for on-going operations. \nSources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of materials, equipment, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process. \nIdentifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. \nIn front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. \nReviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s). \nCoordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services. \nMaintains detailed records of goods and services ordered and received. \nReviews, evaluates, and approves specifications for issuing and awarding bids. \nLocates vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and consults with them to determine product availability and terms of sales. Represents company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. \nResolves vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.\nQualifications\nRequires 2+ years of experience with BS/BA. \n6+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree. \nProficiency in MS Office and related software.\nExperience with Federal and/or DoD supply chain management policies and procedures.\nExcellent oral and written communications skills, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.\nExperience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization. \nDetail oriented, problem solver who works well under pressure.\nCustomer service oriented professional.\nMust be a US citizen.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with government lifecycle management.\nExperience with managing budgets.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
