This position will require work on site at the production facility.\nThe Acusil® production department manufactures thermal protection materials for civil and military applications, and the customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies. The materials are engineered, molded, cured, machined to print, and bonded to customer-supplied artifacts. Our team delivers strong customer satisfaction through rigorous application of Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest product quality while maintaining strict delivery schedules.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for supporting the QA Process Supervisor with inspection of manufactured products and verification activities related to the ACUSIL manufacturing program.\nPrimary responsibilities will include:\nFinal dimensional and visual inspection of piece parts and bonded assemblies.\nIncluding operating Coordinate Measuring Machine and various hand tools.\nInterpreting and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nFirst Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements.\nTo include completion of all forms.\nData entry of all inspection results in local database and ERP system.\nSubmittal of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).\nAttend Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as needed.\nProvide inputs to MRB team on NCRs submitted.\nPerform follow-up actions assigned by MRB team.\nIn-process quality checks as required.\nReceiving inspection.\nEnsure received product meets Purchase Order requirements.\nReview documentation for completeness and accuracy.\nGather all tools due for calibration on a monthly basis.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma and minimum 1+ years of directly related experience with technical training.\nGeneral knowledge of hand tools used for inspection (Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, etc.).\nIn depth Mechanical / Mathematical abilities.\nBasic knowledge of blueprint reading / drawing interpretation.\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite. \nMust be a US Citizen, (may be required to obtain a security clearance if required by the program)\nAbility to work independently as well as within a team\nStrong Attention to detail\nWillingness to learn\nDesired Qualifications:\n2+ years’ experience inspecting products in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.\nExperience operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs (PC-DMIS is a plus).\nExperience with interpretation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nWriting Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs (PC-DMIS is a plus).\nTechnical writing experience\nKnowledge of, and experience working to ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 processes and requirements.\nWorking knowledge of a CAD software package (Fusion 360, Solid Works, Pro E, etc.).\nKnowledge of or prior experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement is a plus.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
