Peraton is seeking an System & Data Integration Specialist to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support the end-to-end integration of the E-IDS operational environment. This role combines data mapping, layout development, systems understanding, and network awareness to ensure reliable, consistent, and accurate configuration across FAA facilities. The specialist must be able to interpret operational requirements, understand how data flows through the system, and configure layouts that align with facility needs and NAS-wide standards.\nWork Location:\nRemote work is permitted; candidates must reside within the contiguous United States.\nMust be able to travel 50-90% of the time to support deployments at CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations.\nCore Responsibilities\nSupport full E-IDS System Integration across data, layouts, network components, and facility workflows\nGather operational requirements directly from FAA facilities\nBuild LDAs by mapping NDC fields to site-specific operational needs\nValidate data accuracy, layout behavior, system interfaces, and interoperability.\nDeploy configurations and support iterative refinement across test and operational environments\nDocument field mappings, layout decisions, template structures, system behaviors, and configuration changes\nSupport system integration from hardware setup, logistics coordination, software configuration, and cutover activities\nUnderstanding of Interface Control Documents, engineering drawings, and technical baselines.\nAbility to troubleshoot connectivity issues using standard Cisco diagnostic commands.\nExperience integrating communications equipment with enterprise networks.\nExperience supporting deployment and commissioning activities.\nAbility to troubleshoot common Linux operational issues.\nVerify implementation packages before deployment.\nAbility to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nAbility to communicated technical issues to both engineering and management audiences.\nAnalyze and resolve technical problems in a structured manner.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship Required\nMust have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance\nBachelor’s degree and 12 years’ related experience or Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 14 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experience\nDemonstrated experience with hardware and software deployment/installation in enterprise environments.\nHands-on experience configuring, managing, and validating one or more of the following infrastructure technologies: Cisco, Dell, and/or HPE/Aruba.\nExperience analyzing end-to-end system functionality, validating architecture, tracing data flows, and troubleshooting interface issues across integrated systems.\nHands-on experience supporting Linux-based systems and environments. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with FAA National Airspace System (NAS), E-IDS, or other mission-critical operational systems.\nUnderstanding of Air Traffic Control (ATC) operational workflows and time-critical information requirements.\nKnowledge of Local Data Administration (LDA), National Data Configuration (NDC), and operational display configuration.\nSystems integration experience supporting complex, multi-vendor network, communications, infrastructure, and software environments.\nExperience using vendor-specific management interfaces such as Cisco Web GUI, Dell OpenManage, and HPE/Aruba Web Interface.\nExperience with interface configuration tools, layout editors, template management, and page builders.\nKnowledge of relational databases, schemas, data normalization, and data relationships.\nExperience troubleshooting operational data synchronization and interface inconsistencies.\nUnderstanding of human factors engineering and usability principles for operational displays.\nExperience supporting multi-site deployments, site readiness assessments, and commissioning activities.\nFamiliarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes, configuration management, and change control.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
