Peraton has an exciting opportunity for a cleared Satellite Ground Terminal Operator to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team, developing a next generation satellite terminal on a mission critical Space and Intelligence Program.\nResponsibilities of the position:\nThe Satellite Ground Terminal Operator will be responsible but not limited to: Supports 24x7 operations and management for a system of satellite Command & Control (C2) antennas \nCoordinates with satellite owner/operators to provide real-time operational status reporting and, resolve issues, and support anomaly resolution activities \nEstablishes and maintains an up-to-date and complete picture of activities to include satellite command and control operations, schedules, system status, and system availability Detects, records, and supports the isolation of system failures\nEnsures proper network capability via secure data transmission services \nCoordinates factory support, recurring maintenance, and compliance inspections \nExpert level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts \nWorking under only general direction, provides technical monitoring to a wide range of difficult problems.\nIndependently determines and develops approach to solutions\nThe position will support third shift.\n**This role will be working a non-rotating 8-hour shift schedule supporting a dynamic 24/7 operational environment. Occasional work may be required outside those times*\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience or an Associates degree with 4 years of experience. In lieu of degree, a High School diploma and 6 or more years of experience is required. \nPosition requires a TS/SCI with poly. Ability to sit for the poly and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request.\nOne (1) or more years of crew experience in an operational environment (Space, DoD, Intel, Operations Center Crew experience is highly desired) \nKnowledge of Space Domain Operations \nWillingness to work non-standard work hours based on mission requirements \nDesired Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI with Poly\nExperience as a Satellite Controller or Satellite Communications Technician\nUnderstanding Radio Frequency fundamentals Satellite C2 operations experience with operating satellite ground terminals /antennas \nCompTIA Security+ certification\nExperience using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation\nExcellent communication skills\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
