This is a remote position for a candidate within commutable distance to the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD; the candidate may commute periodically to GSFC and travel to other NASA locations as needed.\nThe Scrum Master will lead Agile ceremonies, support the setup and maturation of Agile processes, and guide teams transitioning from traditional Waterfall methodologies to Agile frameworks. This role requires strong communication skills, hands-on experience with multiple version control tools, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEstablish, implement, and refine Agile practices across the team and program\nLead Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming)\nCoach teams transitioning from Waterfall to Agile, ensuring smooth adoption of new workflows\nPartner with product owners and stakeholders to maintain well-prioritized backlogs\nIdentify and remove impediments to ensure consistent team progress\nTrack and report progress using industry-standard Agile metrics\nCollaborate with engineering teams using diverse software languages and toolchains\nPromote continuous improvement and team collaboration\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and 10 years of experience; Master's degree and 7 years of experience.\nSecurity clearance - this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance thereafter. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
