The successful candidate will lead enterprise architecture strategy, modernization planning, systems integration, and technology governance efforts across complex mission and enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in federal architecture frameworks, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, cybersecurity, data architecture, and mission systems integration within classified environments.\nThe Senior Enterprise Architect will collaborate with government leadership, mission stakeholders, engineering teams, cybersecurity personnel, and program managers to align technology investments with mission objectives, operational priorities, and compliance requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead development and maintenance of enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards, and transition plans supporting IC mission objectives.\nAnalyze current-state architectures and define target-state architectures across business, application, data, security, and infrastructure domains.\nProvide architectural guidance for modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, zero trust implementation, AI/ML integration, data platforms, and digital transformation programs.\nSupport architecture governance processes, technical reviews, and design authority boards.\nDevelop and maintain architecture artifacts, models, operational views, and technical documentation using frameworks such as DoDAF, TOGAF, and IC-specific architecture guidance.\nEnsure alignment of systems and solutions with federal mandates, IC directives, cybersecurity requirements, and agency strategic goals.\nAdvise senior government leadership on technology strategy, capability gaps, risk mitigation, and investment prioritization.\nCollaborate with systems engineers, solution architects, cybersecurity engineers, and software development teams to ensure architectural consistency and interoperability.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations regarding adoption, scalability, operational impact, and mission relevance.\nSupport enterprise data management, API integration strategies, and cross-domain information sharing initiatives.\nLead architecture assessments, technology rationalization efforts, and portfolio modernization activities.\nContribute to acquisition planning, technical evaluations, and architecture compliance reviews for new programs and systems.\nSupport classified and unclassified environments, ensuring adherence to security and accreditation requirements.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI or Q/SCI clearance.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field preferred\nMinimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D., 20 years with a HS Diploma\n12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems architecture, or related technical leadership roles supporting federal government or Intelligence Community customers.\nDemonstrated experience developing enterprise architectures within classified environments.\nStrong knowledge of:\nDoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF, and IC architecture methodologies\nCloud platforms (AWS, Azure Government, Google Cloud)\nHybrid cloud and on-premises architectures\nZero Trust Architecture principles\nCybersecurity frameworks including NIST RMF and IC cybersecurity policies\nEnterprise integration patterns and API management\nData architecture, data governance, and analytics platforms\nExperience supporting large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives.\nStrong understanding of networking, infrastructure, virtualization, and distributed systems.\nExperience facilitating executive-level technical discussions and architecture governance boards.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTOGAF, AWS, Azure, CISSP, SAFe, or PMP certifications.\nExperience supporting multi-agency IC programs or cross-domain architectures.\nFamiliarity with:\nDevSecOps pipelines and platform engineering\nAI/ML platforms and advanced analytics\nData mesh, data fabric, or enterprise data lake architectures\nKubernetes and container orchestration technologies\nIdentity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM)\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
