Provides professional service within the parameters specified in the site's service level agreement and/or that meet or exceed the customer requirements. Ensures system security is in compliance with customer policy including patching and auditing. Implements and maintains network standards and guidelines. Monitors system utilization including data storage management, performance metrics and service levels. Ensures reliable backup and recovery of necessary data. Develops and maintains an automated environment including reporting, event notifications and actions, software updates and service packs. Reports on capacity and does proactive planning for additional storage. Allocates storage to servers, configuring fiber channel switches, and capacity planning for the SAN, in addition to OS level support related to implementing and maintaining system security and data recovery processes, providing technical support, utilizing automation tools for delivering applications, managing assets, monitoring performance, event notifications and automating desktop support. Coordinates and communicates activities, status updates, outage notifications and schedule information. Performs account maintenance. Ensures reliable backup and recovery of necessary data. Troubleshoots network communications. Maintains and documents SAN cabling plans. Installs, configures, administers, and optimizes servers (hardware and operating systems). Interfaces with users is an integral part of this role. Maintains network system documentation.\nOther Responsibilities Include:\nDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, object, and hyperconverged platforms\nProvision and manage storage resources, including LUNs, volumes, shares, zoning, masking, and quotas, to support application and virtualization requirements\nPerform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and trend analysis to forecast growth and prevent resource constraints\nPlan and execute data replication, snapshot, and backup/recovery strategies supporting COOP and disaster recovery objectives\nConduct firmware, OS, and software upgrades and patching in accordance with change management procedures\nPlan and perform data migrations and technology refreshes with minimal service disruption\nTroubleshoot and resolve storage incidents as a Tier 3/4 escalation point, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, SOPs, and runbooks\nManage vendor support cases, hardware maintenance, and asset lifecycle tracking\nProvide input to engineering change proposals, technical solutions, and cost estimates\nThis position is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the office expected at one of the following locations: Columbus, OH; Oklahoma City, OK; or Montgomery, AL.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nUS Citizenship\nActive Secret Clearance\nMin 12 years with BS/BA, Min 10 years with MS/MA, Min 7 years with PhD\nExperience in an enterprise environment\nWorking knowledge of SAN/NAS architectures, Fibre Channel and iSCSI fabrics, zoning, and NFS/SMB protocols\nExperience integrating storage with VMware vSphere or other virtualization platforms\nStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
