As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll lead the systems engineering discipline - from requirements through integration and test - that keeps GEOINT accurate, timely, and mission-ready. You'll mentor engineering teams, shape solutions architecture, and operate at the scale of Major Systems Acquisitions spanning multiple agencies.\nWhat You'll Do\nMentor and guide Mid- and Junior-level systems engineers across requirements, solutions design, integration, and test & evaluation\nDrive requirements traceability and architecture analysis, spotting opportunities to modernize systems, workflows, and cloud capabilities\nTranslate mission needs into systems requirements and lead solutions design against emerging technology\nLead systems integration and allocate requirements across architecture components and programs\nRun Analyses of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments to inform major technical decisions\nContribute to strategic planning, risk management, performance engineering, and interface design\nIntegrate systems, services, and interfaces across organizational and agency boundaries at the Major Systems Acquisition level\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience: +4 years without a degree, +2 years with a non-STEM degree)\n12+ years in government or industry systems engineering, including DoD/IC Acquisition, Requirements, or PPBES processes, or large-scale System of Systems / Service-Oriented Architecture work (cloud, on-prem, or hybrid)\nStrong grasp of the full systems engineering lifecycle\nCurrent knowledge of the NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises\nPrior NGA, NSG/ASG, IC, or DoD program experience\nActive TS/SCI clearance or adjudication in progress, with ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph\nDesired Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field\nMBSE and Digital Engineering process/tool experience\nFamiliarity with software development frameworks\nINCOSE CSEP certification\nGeospatial intelligence work experience\nProfessional Engineer license\nActive in ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF\nExpertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, GIS, or geomatics\nTarget Salary Range\n$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
