Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support mission-critical geospatial intelligence initiatives across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other Federal Government agencies. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the systems engineering lifecycle, guiding engineering teams through requirements development, solution design, systems integration, and performance analysis to deliver resilient, enterprise-scale capabilities that support the GEOINT mission.\nThis position is ideal for a systems engineer with deep experience supporting complex DoD or Intelligence Community programs and a strong understanding of systems engineering principles within cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nSystems Engineering & Technical Leadership\nLead and mentor mid-level and junior systems engineers across all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.\nProvide technical guidance in requirements engineering, solution engineering, integration, testing, reliability, resiliency, maintainability, and performance analysis.\nDevelop and evaluate system designs based on mission requirements, emerging technologies, and enterprise architecture.\nSupport systems integration efforts across multiple platforms, services, and organizations.\nRequirements & Architecture\nPartner with government stakeholders to capture, analyze, and translate mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements.\nSupport requirements decomposition, allocation, traceability, and architecture development.\nEvaluate cloud service capabilities, workflows, automation opportunities, and scheduling constraints to improve existing systems.\nAssist with the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and implementation programs.\nEngineering Analysis & Mission Support\nConduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.\nSupport strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, interface design, and risk management activities.\nIntegrate systems, services, processes, and interfaces across large-scale acquisition programs spanning organizational and agency boundaries.\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, VA.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM discipline including Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.Additional experience may be substituted for education (4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree).\n\n12+ years of relevant experience supporting government or industry programs involving:DoD or Intelligence Community acquisition processes\nRequirements engineering\nPPBES processes\nSystems engineering for large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures\n\nStrong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.\nDemonstrated knowledge of current NSG, ASG, and NRO enterprise environments.\nPrevious experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs.\nPrevious experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD programs.\nActive TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM discipline.\nWorking knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), associated processes, tools, and modeling languages.\nExperience with Digital Engineering methodologies and toolsets.\nFamiliarity with modern Software Development Frameworks.\nINCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.\nProfessional experience supporting GEOINT programs or initiatives.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nActive membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.\nDemonstrated expertise in one or more of the following:Photogrammetry\nRemote sensing\nImage science\nInformation science\nGeographic Information Systems (GIS)\nGeomatics\nRelated geospatial disciplines\n\nTarget Salary Range\n$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
