The Program Manager will maintain program-level visibility and drive execution across development and operations while technical authority remains with the appropriate architecture and engineering leads.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram Execution\nLead overall program execution and serve as the primary management interface to the Government.\n\nManage the integrated program schedule, staffing plan, contract deliverables, risks, dependencies, and performance commitments.\n\nCoordinate concurrent development, systems engineering and integration, operations and sustainment, transition, and G2PS activities.\n\nMaintain visibility into major technical, staffing, schedule, and operational issues and drive appropriate actions toward resolution.\n\nCoordinate major program milestones, including MVP, pilot, initial operating capability, tenant onboarding, and full operational capability.\n\nEnsure development, transition, and operational activities remain aligned with customer priorities and contractual commitments.\n\nBalance competing program priorities while maintaining focus on delivery, customer satisfaction, and mission outcomes.\n\nStaffing & Team Leadership\nDevelop and maintain a time-phased staffing plan across prime, subcontractor, vendor, and contingent personnel.\n\nCoordinate recruiting, retention, clearance readiness, backfill, and surge actions for hard-to-fill technical positions.\n\nEnsure key personnel and technical leads have clearly defined responsibilities and appropriate decision authority.\n\nLead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and Operations & Sustainment organizations.\n\nManage subcontractor performance and ensure workshare remains aligned with defined program responsibilities.\n\nFoster effective collaboration, accountability, and communication across the program team.\n\nPerformance & Governance\nEstablish and maintain program operating rhythms for status, risk, issue, opportunity, staffing, financial, and technical reviews.\n\nCoordinate service-level performance, customer feedback, and corrective actions with the Service Delivery Manager.\n\nEnsure technical, management, staffing, and cost assumptions remain consistent across the proposal and execution baseline.\n\nProvide concise, actionable Government reporting that clearly communicates program status, blockers, decisions required, and recovery actions.\n\nMaintain appropriate visibility into program performance and ensure emerging issues are identified, escalated, and addressed in a timely manner.\n\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.\n\n12+ years of relevant program, technical, or delivery-management experience.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing large, classified IT, software, cloud, platform, or systems-engineering programs.\n\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering and Operations & Sustainment (O&S) organizations.\n\nExperience managing subcontractors, staffing, schedules, risks, and customer reporting.\n\nWorking understanding of software and platform delivery lifecycles and modern cloud or DevSecOps environments.\n\nDemonstrated ability to manage concurrent development, transition, and operational responsibilities.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with Government and executive stakeholders.\n\nDemonstrated ability to establish accountability, coordinate across multiple organizations, and drive complex program activities to successful completion.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with one or more of the following is beneficial:\nNRO or Intelligence Community program-management experience.\n\nExperience with developer platforms, software factories, or cloud modernization programs.\n\nExperience transitioning incumbent enterprise IT or mission-platform environments.\n\nPMP or comparable program-management certification.\n\nITIL or service-management experience.\n\nExperience managing multi-domain or classified cloud environments.\n\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
