The successful candidate will utilize their communication skills, attention to detail, education, and experience to drive the success of these innovative projects.\nJob Purpose:\nThis position will support the engineering team in the design, development, testing and production phases of projects undertaken at PERATON Labs, the research and development arm of PERATON corporation.\nDuties and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:\nDevelop project plans with input from key stakeholders and ultimately seek formal approval from leadership. \nIncorporate quality control early in the project to ensure the produced product meets customer requirements and engineering standards. \nTrack progress against approved project plan throughout the lifecycle of the project. \nCommunicate effectively with the engineering team to ascertain progress, understand work being performed and develop plans to mitigate risks. \nDevelop risk mitigation options when required to maintain cost and schedule, understand likelihood of occurrence and schedule impacts. \nConvey to leadership, at reasonable interval, overall progress, risks, plans to mitigate risks, and potential schedule impacts. \nDevelop a risk registry, with input from engineers that correctly depicts the project landscape and includes impacts to cost and schedule. \nInitiate BCPs as required and solicit approval for recommended changes. \nManage resource requirements, communicating gaps and needs to senior leadership to prevent issues with meeting program requirements. \nGenerate presentation material to easily communicate project.\nQualifications\nRequired Education and Work Experience:\nThe successful candidate has demonstrated experience with complicated projects including engineering, prototyping, testing, validation, and verification leading to integration and manufacture.\nA degree in business, finance or engineering is required with the following experience levels:\nBS/BA with 12 or more years of experience managing projects. \nMS/MA with 10 or more years of experience managing projects.\nPhD with 7 or more years of experience managing projects. \n(Experience must be with relevant work in a professional setting)\nRequired Skills/Attributes:\nExpert in the use of MS project and or Primavera to manage cost, schedule and resources \nExpert in EVMS approach to project management \nExpert in analyzing project material to ascertain likelihood of desired cost and schedule outcomes. \nExpert in developing reporting materials to communicate project status to stakeholders. \nExperience tracking and managing various Milestone and/or other Contract Deliverables \nAbility to be onsite five days a week when required. \nOccasional Travel to partner manufacturing facilities and other Peraton facilities will be required, \nExperience with the application of quality control methodologies to product production beginning at project inception is a key skill. \nU.S. Citizenship. \nDesired Skills/Attributes:\nA PMI PMP certification or equivalent \nDirect experience working closely with engineers to deliver complex electro-optical systems \nExperience with logistics for DoE/DoW systems \nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
