This role requires strong SQL expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex data and performance issues. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams operating in an Agile environment and will ensure data integrity, reliability, and scalability across multiple systems.\nLocation: On-site three days per week in Colorado Springs, CO.\nDay to Day Roles and Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects to support application and reporting needs.\nAnalyze and optimize existing SQL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.\nDesign and implement database schemas, tables, indexing strategies, and data structures aligned to system requirements.\nTroubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks, data integrity problems, and SQL defects.\nCollaborate with application developers, architects, business analysts, and DevOps teams to refine data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.\nSupport data migration, transformation, and integration activities across systems.\nFollow Agile processes, participate in sprint ceremonies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nProvide on-call or flexible support during weekend or after-hours windows as needed for deployments or system maintenance.\nEnsure compliance with security, data protection, and federal program standards.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelors degree and 12 years of experience or a Masters degree and 10 years of experience or an Associates degree and 14 years of experience or a High School diploma/eqivalent and 16 years of experience.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance\n3+ years of hands-on experience developing, writing, and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.\n\n3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing relational database structures, including tables, schemas, and indexes.\n\nExperience troubleshooting SQL performance issues, resolving data integrity issues, and supporting database development and optimization.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1+ year of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.\n\nExperience supporting large-scale federal IT programs.\n\nFamiliarity with the SAFe Agile delivery framework.\n\nTarget Salary Range\n$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
