The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, personnel management, and development oversight while ensuring delivery of secure, scalable, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions in support of mission operations.\nPersonnel Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of ServiceNow developers and platform engineers.\nConduct performance evaluations, establish employee development goals, and support career growth initiatives.\nReview and approve employee timesheets, leave requests, and personnel actions.\nSupport recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention of technical staff.\nAssign work, balance workloads, and coordinate staffing priorities in partnership with program leadership.\nFoster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture focused on quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide technical direction and oversight for ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration activities.\nReview solution designs, development efforts, testing results, and implementation plans to ensure alignment with customer requirements and platform best practices.\nOversee the development and maintenance of workflows, Flow Designer solutions, business rules, client scripts, script includes, and custom ServiceNow applications.\nGuide development of Service Catalog offerings and end-to-end request fulfillment processes.\nProvide oversight for integrations between ServiceNow and external systems utilizing web services and the platform’s integration tools.\nSupport development and enhancement of Service Portal pages and user-facing platform experiences.\nEnsure platform configurations align with security, scalability, and maintainability requirements.\nSupport troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex production issues.\nPlatform Operations and Governance\nOversee development, testing, deployment, upgrade, patching, and instance-cloning activities across ServiceNow environments.\nEnsure proper configuration and administration of tables, forms, notifications, service level agreements (SLAs), security controls, and CMDB components.\nEstablish and enforce development standards, documentation requirements, testing procedures, and peer review practices.\nEnsure all platform changes are properly documented, reviewed, tested, approved, and implemented in accordance with established change management processes.\nCoordinate deployment planning, release readiness activities, and rollback procedures to minimize operational risk.\nSupport weekly status reporting and development metrics as required by program leadership and customers.\nPartner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to maintain platform availability, security, and compliance.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of related IT experience\n3+ years of experience leading, supervising, or managing technical teams.\nActive TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required)\nDemonstrated experience conducting performance evaluations, employee development, workload management, and personnel administration.\nExperience leading ServiceNow development teams supporting platform administration, application development, workflow automation, and integration activities.\nExperience with ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer, business rules, scripting, Service Catalog development, and platform configuration.\nExperience supporting ServiceNow integrations and interface development with external systems.\nExperience supporting platform lifecycle activities, including testing, deployments, upgrades, and production support.\nExperience working in Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development environments.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience implementing and enforcing change management processes, including documentation, peer review, testing, deployment approvals, and rollback planning.\nPreferred Qualifications\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).\nExperience with REST APIs and SOAP web services.\nExperience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub.\nExperience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications, cloud services, and third-party platforms.\nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one or more ServiceNow product areas.\nExperience with HelpNow\nExperience supporting IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), or CMDB implementations.\nExperience with Service Portal development and user experience enhancements.\nExperience supporting AWS cloud environments and cloud-based service management solutions.\nFamiliarity with ITIL principles and service management best practices.\nExperience supporting federal government, Intelligence Community, or other highly regulated environments.\nExperience managing geographically dispersed technical teams.\nBenefits:\nPeraton offers enhanced This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
