This position combines software engineering and systems administration disciplines to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical applications and infrastructure. The SRE will drive automation initiatives, observability improvements, and incident response operations.\nSite Reliability Engineer responsibilities:\nDesign and implement automation solutions for infrastructure and application management.\nDrive modernization efforts by engineering and implementing infrastructure improvements, automation capabilities, and technology refresh initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain monitoring and observability platforms.\nDefine and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).\nSupport incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\nImplement infrastructure-as-code and configuration management solutions.\nOptimize system performance and reliability.\nCollaborate with software development, operations, and security teams.\nSupport cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nAn active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.\nBachelors degree in computer science, information technology (or similar technical field) and eight (8+) years relevant experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\nMinimum 7+ years of software engineering, DevOps, or operations experience.\nCloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).\nCISSP or CASP+\nDoD 8140/8570 Compliant.\nStrong Linux administration experience.\nExperience with cloud-native technologies and automation frameworks.\nDesired Qualifications and Experience:\nCKA\nRHCSA\nAWS DevOps Engineer\nAzure Administrator (AZ-400)\nCCSP\nKubernetes, Rancher, Helm, Docker, cilium, Rook, Ceph, MinIO, S3, PortWorz, Load Balancing, Ansible, Desired State Configuration, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Scripting\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
