This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.\nThe purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.\nSystems Administrators supporting the Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) provide specialized administration, maintenance, and operational oversight in accordance with the SIE OPORD and DoW secure-messaging requirements. AMHS Administrators must possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, along with deep technical knowledge of Government messaging infrastructure, enclave configurations, and cross-domain messaging workflows. AMHS is a mission-critical enterprise system supporting TSOCs, Components, and strategic/tactical communications, administrators must demonstrate proficiency in secure messaging protocols, system continuity, and rapid fault isolation.\nAMHS Administrators monitor, maintain, and control mid-range application servers hosting AMHS services, ensuring message delivery, routing integrity, and system availability. They review and interpret\nsystem operating instructions, validate configuration baselines, and execute system manipulations in accordance with established procedures to sustain operations during hardware, software, or messaging-queue failures. Administrators coordinate closely with software engineers, cybersecurity personnel, Vendor and DISA PMO when system anomalies require changes to configurations, routing logic, or operational sequences. They maintain detailed operating records, message-flow performance logs, user accounts and system-health reports to support compliance and audit readiness.\nTypical AMHS-Focused Duties:\nInstall, configure, and maintain AMHS operating system software, patches, and upgrades across messaging servers and supporting infrastructure.\nAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve AMHS-specific hardware, software, and messaging-flow issues, including routing failures, queue corruption, and delivery anomalies. \nMonitor and optimize AMHS server performance, message throughput, storage utilization, and system health indicators.\nPerform AMHS system backups, recovery operations, and continuity-of-operations procedures to ensure message retention and system resilience.\nConduct AMHS server builds and enclave integrations, ensuring compliance with DoD messaging standards and SIE configuration requirements.\nTroubleshoot virtual components used by AMHS operators and message-center personnel.\nDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AMHS administration, message-center workflows, and enclave-specific configurations.\nProvide system administration support for AMHS environments hosting complex operational databases, routing tables, configuration control, and system interfaces.\nMaintain, create and troubleshoot AMHS user accounts and anomalies associated with AMHS application\nMaintain AMHS file servers, network access, and system connectivity, documenting and resolving anomalies to ensure optimal performance.\nSupport Identity Management functions relevant to AMHS, including AD/GAL synchronization, account provisioning, and role-based access control.\nProvide Directory Services support (DNS, GPO, AADC, ADFS, DFS, Domains & Trusts, Sites & Services) as required for AMHS authentication and routing dependencies.\nSupport Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for AMHS digital signing, encryption, certificate management, and secure message handling.\nTroubleshoot PKI-related AMHS issues, including middleware configurations, certificate failures, and client/server authentication errors.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nMin 9 years with HS Diploma, 7 years AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA degree, 3 years with MS/MA\nMinimum of 3 years as a Systems Administrator or functioning in complex end-user desktop and mobile device support.\nA DoW TS/SCI clearance is required\nMust be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 - System Administrator - Intermediate level or higher.\nDesired Qualifications:\nMCSA relevant to AMHS work area\nVMWare Certified Associate (VCA) \nVMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA)\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate\nMicrosoft Certified Associate relevant to work area\nMicrosoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate\nAWS SysOps Administrator Associate\nNutanix Certified Professional\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
