Bragg, NC.\nThe purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.\nThe Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:\nThis position tests and analyzes elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminals and is responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network.\nPlanning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network.\nMonitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.\nThe Engineer must keep their technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs.\nThis position provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians.\nProviding comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.\nInterfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.\nComprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.\nCandidate will establish systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems\nPerforming disaster recovery and backup/restore.\nSupporting efforts for network cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.\nMaintaining LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.\nMaintaining network security infrastructure including but not limited to: Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Firepower, and ISE.\nMaintaining data center network infrastructure including but not limited to ACI and Catalyst Center\nServes as the primary Network Engineer for operations integration with Data Center requirements into Application Centric and Zero Trust Networking within the Data Center.\nProviding support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing.\nProviding Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package.\nEngineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks.\nEstablishing and operating network test facilities.\nMaintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks.\nProviding high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers.\nSome positions may require shift work and/or ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nA DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.\nEducation & Experience Equivalency: BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience\nMust be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 441 - Network Operations Specialist- Intermediate level or higher and CCNA.\nDetail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software.\nMust have extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure is required.\nDesired Qualifications:\nCCNP Collaboration OR CCNP Enterprise OR CCNP Security OR CCNP Service Provider OR CCDP OR CCIoT OR Aruba Certified Mobility Professional OR Juniper Networks Certified Specialist certifications\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
