This position is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives at the intersection of people leadership, software architecture, and program execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlan, direct, and coordinate all activities related to software development across multiple functional teams and product lines.\n\nLead and manage multi-team and cross-functional engineering organizations in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.\n\nPrioritize and allocate projects, products, and resources in collaboration with architects and engineering managers.\n\nDrive strategic decisions related to technology selection, system design, and software implementation.\n\nDirect end-to-end software development projects, ensuring delivery on schedule and in compliance with quality and performance standards.\n\nEstablish clear project plans that include product goals, development strategies, roles and responsibilities, schedules, milestones, risk identification, and contingency planning.\n\nCommunicate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders by providing project status updates, variance justifications, and technical insights.\n\nMonitor and evaluate emerging technologies and industry standards to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.\n\nManage people-related responsibilities including hiring, performance evaluations, compensation reviews, recognition, and adherence to company policies.\n\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across engineering teams\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive (currently in use) TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, or active TS/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a polygraph.\n\nBachelor’s degree in a field applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\n10+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or management role.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nProven full-stack software development experience.\n\nProgramming experience including, but not limited to: Java, Python (Poetry, Flask, etc.), and JavaScript.\n\nHands-on experience with AWS technologies, including Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, EC2, S3, and DynamoDB.\n\nExperience using modern development techniques and frameworks such as REST, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Angular, React), and Docker.\n\nProficiency with Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.\n\nExperience using Microsoft Project.\n\nExperience with Agile development, including project planning, project schedules, weekly status reporting, and monthly PMR briefings.\n\nUnderstanding of CIO processes and EMO functional requirements.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nHUMINT functional domain knowledge and application experience.\n\nPrior experience working within the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).\n\nPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and participation in an attractive bonus plan.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
