This position is located in Herndon, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT).\nAs part of the modernization program, the Software Development Manager will maintain the roadmap for the project in alignment with customer priorities and ensure that the roadmap is adequately addressed and implemented consistently across all Project teams and efforts for which the manager is responsible.\nDay to Day Work Responsibilities:\nAssumes a technical leadership role for system and software delivery within an Agile Development lifecycle framework including production deployments and operations & maintenance\nWorks with customers to align project product backlogs and ensures customer priorities are addressed\nWorks with architecture team to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements to acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints\nUnderstands system and software requirements to ensure software compliance standards are addressed by agile teams\nResponsible for the direct supervision/management of agile team staff, to include overall management and oversight of delivering modernized services via multiple teams.\nIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves team deficiencies; Develops and recommends corrective actions and process improvements as necessary\nParticipate in customer planning sessions and project implementations\nProvides frequent inter-organizational and customer contact related to specific agile team work\nActs as line manager for agile teams: responsible for conducting employee performance reviews, timesheet reviews/approvals, career guidance, and travel expense approvals, among other administrative tasks.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum 10 years experience. \nFive (5) years technical Lead experience with software development projects.\nExperience in hands on software development and in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, test, integration, and maintenance.\nExperience supporting a system implementation program using agile methodologies.\nExperience with application lifecycle tooling, including those related to agile project management, version control, continuous integration, code scanning, automated testing, and issue tracking.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to prepare briefings, proposals, and similar documents.\nActive DoD Secret (or higher) clearance; interim Secret clearance is acceptable.\nUS Citizenship is required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems\nPrior experience supporting the Department of State (DOS). \nHolds a Scrum Master Certification or experience.\nTarget Salary Range\n$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
