With competitive compensation and growth opportunities, the DevOps Engineer have the chance to make a significant national impact through their work.\nResponsibilities:\nAutomate and Orchestrate workloads across Mainframe and Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nIntegrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines across legacy and modernized architectures.\nDevelop, maintain and troubleshoot API components to support processing between legacy and web environments. \nSupport unit testing and integration for application components.\nSupport software developers with CI/CD questions and issues.\nRecommend and implement process changes to improve CI/CD environment. \nMaintain awareness of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on cloud computing and automation.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n5 years with BS/BA; or 9 years of experience with a high school diploma. \nDemonstrated experience in DevOps automation, configuration and deployment management. \nProficiency with DevOps tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Splunk, SonarQube, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Salt, or similar tools. \nProven ability to deliver in an Agile/SCRUM environment.\nExperienced with Jira and Confluence.\nHands on programming experience with languages such as Python, PHP, Ruby, Groovy and Java. \nProficiency in the use of CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment.\nStrong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.\nEligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.\nUS Citizen.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in a mainframe z/OS environment. \nFamiliarity with mainframe DevOps tools such as IBM Dependency Based Build, Groovy and UrbanCode Deploy. \nAWS certification at any level; AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional preferred.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
