Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nPeraton is hiring a Software Integration Lab Engineer for an onsite role in Huntsville, AL.\nPeraton has a great opportunity to support the Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) program as a Software Integration Lab Engineer, working to help the military with missile detection and evade technology. This role works across several high visibility programs at ASE supporting the software team as a Software Integration Lab Engineer.\nWhat you'll do:\nProvide technical expertise and support for all Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) products across their lifecycle, including requirements, interfaces, development, architecture, testing, and sustainment.\nAnalyze and understand system interfaces and external systems interoperability.\nExecute testing on hot mock up systems to verify interoperability between systems.\nConduct verification and validation (V&V) testing of software deliveries, as well as software installation on removable media.\nTest and troubleshoot inoperable equipment.\nUnderstand and analyze software requirements of the system.\nCollaborate with vendors to understand capabilities and performance requirements.\nAssess and understand software impacts system use and installation.\nProvide overarching technical support for the software and product development teams.\nReview vendor software CDRLs and artifacts (e.g., Software Development Plan, requirements, design documents, and test plans).\nQualifications\nWhat you’ll need:\nEducation: Minimum of 7 years with AA/AS; 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA.\nU.S. Citizenship\nClearance: Active Secret DoD Clearance.\nComprehensive understanding of hardware schematics.\nProven ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.\nStrong capabilities in balancing multiple tasks and competing priorities.\nUnderstand system software interfaces, requirements, and interoperating with other systems.\nDirect experience performing integration and testing of aircraft electronics systems.\nDesired Qualifications:\nHave experience working in a DoD acquisition project management office.\nExtensive experience testing aircraft electronics utilizing common laboratory precision measurement equipment integrated with hardware mock-ups and test stations.\nBackground in Electronic Warfare (EW), Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), and/or general aircraft electronics\nProven track record of working closely alongside software engineering teams to execute testing and deliver precise, constructive feedback\nSolid experience working with common aircraft communications interfaces, such as MIL-STD-1553 and RS-485\nPractical experience fabricating, modifying, or altering electrical cables\nMid to Senior level experience desired\nTarget Salary Range\n$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
