In this role, you will analyze, advise, and report key performance information in order to implement upgrades to the current ATC system that are critical to safe and efficient air travel. By supporting the implementation and modernization of short-to-medium range radar systems, you will directly contribute to the future of U.S. aviation infrastructure.\nThis is a unique opportunity to apply your radar knowledge to mission-critical programs that ensure the safety, security, and reliability of the nation’s airspace.\nThis position is 100% remote with about 75% travel.\nResponsibilities:\nBe capable of providing subject matter expertise on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.\nSupport FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.\nObserve, capture and report technical data pertinent to the installation and modernization of FAA radar systems.\nCollaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to align with mission objectives.\nDevelop and submit concise technical reports and status reports throughout each phase of the project (site survey, pre-install & parts - received at site, installation, and finally, testing and acceptance).\nProvide immediate notification to higher Peraton authority of significant concerns (Risk, Issues, Opportunity) along with their potential impacts to the schedule.\nOversees site and vendor technicians, have situational awareness of past and upcoming equipment installation schedules, and ensure compliance with FAA mandates.\nUpon completion of installation and acceptance tests, continue to monitor updated systems and communicate with site technicians and vendors to ensure optimization of all ATC systems through calibrations, alignments, and additional testing required. All efforts result in updated radar systems that provide optimal detection capabilities and increased data accuracy.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nUS citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.\n8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 12 years with no degree.\nProven strong self-starter traits.\nMust have significant hands on technical work such as maintenance on any moderately complex system such as radars, radios or networks.\nCapable of implementing the steps to conflict resolution and deconfliction.\nCapable of independent operation under agile conditions with limited oversite and/or managerial control.\nCapable of critical thinking, following processes and procedures.\nTravel 75% (expected travel is 1 month on and 2 weeks remote rotation).\nSolid communication and interpersonal skills.\nCapable of assessing a large amount of pertinent data and producing detailed technical reports at a consumable level under time limitations.\nProvide clear and effective communications to all parties.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarization of radar operations, ATC systems & operations, and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems.\nExpert use of Microsoft products and business applications.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
