The ideal candidate will manage, maintain, and enhance secure Windows-based environments while ensuring uptime and performance for essential applications. The candidate will be working closely with IA team supporting Continuous Monitoring tasks, enforcing cybersecurity compliance, and addressing vulnerabilities identified through Nessus scans.\nThis role involves configuring and maintaining Windows servers and desktops, implementing security mitigations, ensuring compliance with government standards, as well as lead assigned Classified IT Services(CITS) projects and work with CITS leadership to identify new technologies for new Peraton program contracts.\nInteracts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Continuous Monitoring & Vulnerability Mitigation:Perform continuous monitoring of systems using vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable Nessus.\nIdentify and analyze vulnerabilities from weekly and monthly scans.\nMitigate identified vulnerabilities by reconfiguring Linux servers and desktops or applying patches, security updates, and configuration changes.\nTrack, document, and report vulnerability remediation activities to ensure ongoing compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) or Intelligence Community standards. \n\nWindows System Administration:Deploy, Configure, maintain, and secure Windows-based servers and desktops.\nMaintain the virtualization platform (VMWare).\nManage Active Directory services, folder & file permissions, and management & compliance of Group Policies.\nHarden systems using existing guidelines such as Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or custom configurations.\nMonitor systems for performance, security, and availability, resolving issues proactively. \nMaintain system backup and disaster recovery procedures.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and deployment efforts.\nStay current with technological advancements and recommend improvements as necessary. \n\nDocumentation & Auditing:Maintain detailed system configuration documentation.\nDocument vulnerability findings, mitigations, and resolutions in tickets or compliance reports.\nSupport security audits by providing technical information and collaborating with the Information Assurance teams. \n\n Collaboration:Work closely with the Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity teams to ensure systems meet security requirements.\nCollaborate with network administrators and application teams to integrate Linux environments supporting enterprise solutions.\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\nActive TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph (Polygraph preferred).\nBachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, including 3-5+ years managing virtualized Windows environments within classified, secure environments. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.\nUnderstanding of system security requirements in DoD or Intelligence domains (e.g., STIGs, RMF).\nPreferred:\nExperience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenShift).\nExchange, SharePoint, MECM \nSoft Skills:\nCustomer Service\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly.\nTarget Salary Range\n$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
