These engineers will contribute to requirements analysis, architecture development, interface definition, technical planning, traceability, change-impact analysis, and technical reviews across the platform lifecycle.\nWorking closely with architecture and integration leadership, this role will help translate customer objectives into actionable engineering requirements and ensure those requirements remain connected to architecture, interfaces, implementation, and verification. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple technical disciplines and can bridge the details between software, cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and data engineering teams.\nResponsibilities\nRequirements Engineering\nAnalyze and decompose technical objectives into clear, actionable, and implementable engineering requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintain traceability between requirements, architecture, interfaces, implementation, and verification evidence.\n\nEvaluate proposed requirement changes and assess technical, schedule, interface, and operational impacts.\n\nCoordinate requirements interpretation and clarification with platform owners, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders.\n\nSupport requirements baselining and ongoing management as technical and mission needs evolve.\n\nArchitecture & Interface Engineering\nDevelop and maintain architecture artifacts, interface descriptions, dependency views, and supporting technical documentation.\n\nSupport the definition of APIs, service interfaces, trust relationships, data exchanges, and cross-platform dependencies.\n\nAnalyze relationships between systems and platforms to identify technical dependencies, integration points, and potential impacts.\n\nConduct engineering trade studies and document technical recommendations, decisions, and associated rationale.\n\nSupport architecture modeling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities where appropriate.\n\nPartner with architecture and integration teams to ensure system-level technical decisions are reflected in requirements and engineering documentation.\n\nTechnical Reviews & Change Management\nPrepare for and support architecture, requirements, design, and technical review activities.\n\nTrack technical actions, interface issues, engineering decisions, and review findings through closure.\n\nCoordinate with Integration & Test Engineers to ensure requirements have clear, measurable, and verifiable criteria.\n\nSupport configuration management and change-impact analysis for evolving platform services and capabilities.\n\nEvaluate proposed technical changes for impacts across requirements, interfaces, architecture, implementation, and verification.\n\nCross-Discipline Systems Engineering\nCollaborate across software, cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, data, and platform engineering disciplines.\n\nSupport technical planning and system-level integration activities across interconnected platforms.\n\nIdentify gaps, inconsistencies, and dependencies across engineering artifacts and work with technical teams to resolve them.\n\nTranslate complex technical information into clear engineering documentation and recommendations for technical and customer stakeholders.\n\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.\n\nApproximately 6-10 years of experience in systems engineering, requirements engineering, architecture, integration, or a related technical discipline.\n\nBS and 6 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. \nDemonstrated experience with requirements analysis, system interfaces, architecture, and technical documentation.\n\nAbility to work across multiple technical disciplines, including software, cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and data.\n\nExperience supporting system-level integration and technical reviews.\n\nExperience with requirements traceability, technical planning, or change-impact analysis.\n\nStrong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with SysML, UAF, or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).\n\nExperience with Cameo or comparable systems modeling tools.\n\nNRO or Intelligence Community architecture standards or mission engineering experience.\n\nExperience with API and interface design.\n\nExperience with hybrid cloud and Kubernetes environments.\n\nExperience with requirements-management tools and formal requirements traceability practices.\n\nTarget Salary Range\n$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
