In this role, you will directly contribute to enabling mission success by ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems that process and deliver critical mission data to end users.\nYou will play a key role in modernizing dataflows and operational systems, helping transition legacy capabilities into cloud-based environments while supporting real-time mission needs. This is a hands-on opportunity for engineers with experience or interest in dataflow technologies, including Apache NiFi, to work on impactful systems that drive decision-making and operational effectiveness across mission environments.\nWhat You’ll Do\nprocess Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs) and implement efficient dataflow solutions\nCreate and manage dataflows using Apache NiFi\nManage and support operational systems that process and maintain mission dataReview and process Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs) and implement efficient dataflow solutions\nSupport dataflow modernization efforts, including migration from hardware-based systems to virtual cloud environments\nEvaluate existing dataflows, develop requirements, and rebuild flows in collaboration with operations teams\nDevelop system architecture diagrams depicting software and system functions\nSupport analytical requirements and mission needs\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nTen (10) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university\nFive (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree\nActive TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required\nDesired Qualifications\nMinimum four (4) years of experience within the Intelligence Community working with mission systems that process and manage mission data\nExperience working with mission data formats\nFamiliarity with Linux operating systems CLI to manage software configurations and perform software upgrades\nFamiliarity with Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs)\nExperience with Apache NiFi functionality for managing or building dataflows\nExperience managing analytical needs and requirements\nExperience creating system architecture diagrams depicting software and system functions\nExperience with tools such as Zookeeper, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and NiFi Registry\nThis position will require on-call support after approximately six (6) months of on-the-job training.\nTarget Salary Range\n$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
