The role will span areas including identity, networking, APIs, CI/CD, observability, mission hosting, tenant services, and hybrid infrastructure.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong systems-level troubleshooting skills and can work across multiple engineering disciplines to identify integration issues, coordinate resolution, and provide objective evidence that capabilities are ready for operational use.\nResponsibilities\nIntegration Planning\nDevelop integration plans for new capabilities, shared services, interfaces, and significant platform or infrastructure changes.\n\nDefine integration objectives, test dependencies, required environments, and clear entry and exit criteria.\n\nCoordinate integration and test activities across platform, application, infrastructure, security, and mission engineering teams.\n\nIdentify integration risks, dependencies, and potential failure points before changes reach production environments.\n\nCoordinate test sequencing and environment readiness across multiple technical teams.\n\nSystem-Level Verification\nPlan and execute end-to-end tests validating service interactions across multiple platforms and technical environments.\n\nValidate APIs, data exchanges, identity flows, networking, CI/CD workflows, observability, and application dependencies.\n\nSupport multi-tenant, mission-processing, and GEOINT workflow testing.\n\nPerform regression testing following major platform, interface, application, or infrastructure changes.\n\nEvaluate integrated system behavior against defined requirements, expected outcomes, and acceptance criteria.\n\nIdentify integration gaps and coordinate with engineering teams to determine root causes and corrective actions.\n\nDefect & Evidence Management\nTrack integration defects, technical issues, and test findings through resolution.\n\nReproduce complex failures and coordinate troubleshooting across the engineering teams responsible for affected components.\n\nDocument test procedures, evidence, results, limitations, and residual risks.\n\nProvide clear technical reporting on integration status, findings, blockers, and readiness.\n\nDevelop or automate repeatable integration and regression tests where practical.\n\nCoordinate retesting and verification following defect remediation or significant system changes.\n\nLocation: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.\n\nApproximately 5-8 years of experience in systems integration, testing, software, platform engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\n5 years with BS/BA; An Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nDemonstrated experience testing distributed systems, APIs, services, or enterprise platforms.\n\nWorking understanding of cloud, Kubernetes, networking, identity, and CI/CD concepts.\n\nExperience coordinating integration or test activities across multiple technical teams.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, defect-analysis, and technical-documentation skills.\n\nAbility to analyze complex system interactions and communicate technical findings clearly.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with automated API or integration testing.\n\nExperience working with Kubernetes-based test environments.\n\nExperience supporting GEOINT or mission-processing systems.\n\nExperience conducting testing across classified or multi-domain environments.\n\nExperience with performance, resilience, or reliability testing.\n\nExperience with GitLab-based test automation and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
