Technical Manager (TX DIR)

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking for aTechnical Manager who will have overall accountability for technology planning, optimization, service evolution, and innovation of Services.The Technical Manager will serve as the single point of accountability for DIR concerning performance and Incident management of DIR's and Successful Respondent's technology, including Private Cloud, Network, Mainframe, and AI Platform if implemented.

Candidates must currently reside in the Austin metropolitan area or nearby, or be willing and able to relocate to Austin, TX. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the single point of accountability to DIR for performance and incident management across all technology domains.
• Provide technology planning, optimization, service evolution, and innovation across:
• Private Cloud
• Network
• Mainframe
• AI Platform, if implemented
• Govern the Infrastructure Reference Architecture, including:
• Quarterly architecture updates
• CMDB integration
• Standard products list management
• Monitor the environment for nonstandard product introduction and facilitate appropriate governance decisions.
• Coordinate with the Security Director on threat remediation and security posture.
• Manage infrastructure currency, maintaining systems within one major release of the current version.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across all applicable infrastructure and technology domains.
• Ensure technology decisions remain aligned with enterprise architecture, service requirements, security requirements, and contractual objectives.
• Provide cross-domain technical leadership in a complex multi-vendor/MSI government IT operating environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of infrastructure architecture and technology leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in private cloud platforms, including VMware, Nutanix, or equivalent hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Hands-on data center infrastructure experience, including:
• Compute
• Storage, including SAN/NAS and tiered storage
• Server virtualization
• Working knowledge of data center networking, including:
• MPLS
• SDN
• Cloud connectivity
• Familiarity with mainframe operations, including z/OS or equivalent, from an architectural perspective.
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure platforms or cloud-hosted AI services.
• Demonstrated ability to govern enterprise technology standards and reference architectures.
• Experience operating in multi-vendor government IT/MSI operating model environments.
• Strong cross-domain technical leadership and executive communication skills.
• Ability to credibly represent Private Cloud, Network, Mainframe, AI/ML, infrastructure, and related technology domains to senior government stakeholders.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• TX-RAMP
• FedRAMP Moderate
• CJIS
• TAC 202

Preferred Certifications:

• Cloud architecture certification strongly preferred, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ITIL v4 Foundation preferred.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
